I believe that transitioning from maiden to mother is one of the most important rites of passage a woman can go through in her lifetime. Every subsequent birth journey is just as important as the first and has the power to impact a woman and her family in such profound ways.
The way a woman is held and supported during these powerful transitions will stay with her forever.
I was drawn to birth work after my first initiation into motherhood, but the birth of my second child made me realise I couldn’t support women in the way I wanted if I was working within the modern-day maternity system.
Following a deep inner journey and a healing third birth, I trained as a birth doula so I could support women as they discover their power in birth.
Hey, I’m Amy. Birth doula, freebirth supporter, and Mam of four.
Once upon a time I was a wild, jet-setting, party animal from the hustling towns of Essex. Nowadays though, you’ll find me living slowly in a Welsh woodland between the mountains and sea, home-educating my wonderful wildlings with my partner, dog and cat.
Slow Mondays, sipping a morning panad with the sun on my face, frolicking in the woods, barefoot walks on the beach, and singing in the car are among some of my favourite, yet simple things to do.
The most incredible and transformative moments of my life though, are the births of my four children and the daily blessing I have of raising them. 6 years in and I still can’t believe I get to be a Mam!

My role as a birth doula is not to replace your partner or midwives, but to act as an additional, continuous support for the whole family and to advocate for you during your most vulnerable moments.
