meet amy…

Hey, I’m Amy. Birth doula, freebirth supporter, women’s worker, energy healer and most importantly… a Mam of four with a very full heart!

Once upon a time I was a wild, jet-setting, party animal from the hustling towns of Essex. Nowadays though, you’ll find me living slowly in a Welsh woodland between the mountains and sea, home-educating my wonderful wildlings with my partner, dog and cat.

Slow Monday mornings, sipping my daily cacao under my favourite tree, foraging in the woods, and family picnics on the beach are among some of my favourite, yet simple things to do.

The most incredible and transformative moments of my life though, are the births of my four children and the daily blessing I have of raising them. Four children in and I still can’t believe I get to be a Mam!

I believe that transitioning from maiden to mother is one of the most important rites of passage a woman can go through in her lifetime. Every subsequent birth journey is just as important as the first and has the power to impact a woman, her family and society in such profound ways.

The way a woman is held and supported during these powerful transitions will stay with her forever.

My journey into birth work began with my first child, but my second child’s birth revealed to me the limitations of being woman-led when working within the modern-day maternity system.

Following a deep inward journey and a healing third birth, I trained as a birth doula so I could fully support women as they discover their power in birth.
